Jeff is a fully qualified Sports and Remedial Massage Therapist and also a keen runner. In over 30 years of running he has completed many half and full marathons, including London (twice). He is currently Sports Massage Therapist to Beeston Men's Hockey Club, who were promoted to the English Hockey League Premier Division last season, making them one of the top ten men's hockey teams in England. Having seen the difference sports massage can play in top level sport, amateur sports clubs are now beginning to see the benefits of having a Sports Massage Therapist on board to keep their own teams in top condition. Regular massage helps the players to perform better, reduces the risk of injury and, if they are unfortunate enough to pick up an injury, by having prompt treatment they can make a speedy recovery. This gives them a distinct advantage over teams without this facility. As an active sportsman Jeff is a firm believer in preventative treatment. "From personal experience I know how frustrating it can be to be out of action for several weeks with an injury, which could possibly have been prevented by having a regular sports massage. Minor muscle traumas can soon become a serious injury if left untreated." And it is not only sports people who can benefit from sports massage. Anyone who is suffering from any kind of stress or occupational related muscle pain, such as that caused by sitting at a computer all day, can obtain relief through massage. As well as SPORTS AND REMEDIAL MASSAGE Jeff is also qualified in the use of INFRA-RED TREATMENT, MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL THERAPY including ULTRASOUND, TAPING AND STRAPPING and MANUAL THERAPY. Jeff works from The Rutland Sports Park Ilkeston Derbyshire which is situated half way between the cities of Derby and Nottingham. Clinic hours are: Monday to Friday - 9.00am to 8.00pm Saturday - 9.00am to 5pm
